Northern Lions BC Clip Bowties, 2-1
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC got a stellar performance from pitcher Ingo Abresch, who handcuffed the Buckhead offense en route to a 2-1 win at 5 Paces Park. The 8th-place Bowties have lost 4 consecutive games.
Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Ramón Padilla to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Padilla. "And not try to do too much."
