Pivotal Game Goes to Host Browns, 5-2
|
The Cleveland Browns moved to within one game of the Round 2041 today, downing the visiting Houston 1837 BBC at Factory of Sadness by a score of 5-2. Browns right-hander Jay Cannon was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Browns a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2040.
Had Surender Nada not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Nada hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Browns.
"It's a gut punch," 1837 BBC manager Tyler Johnson said, "to get here and find ourselves down - in the blink of an eye."
