Almost There: Hollywood On Cusp of R2040 Triumph After 3-1 Win
Game was big. So was Matthew Fallows.

The Hollywood starter rose to the occasion at The Voodoo Lounge today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Shredders to a crucial 3-1 victory over the New Orleans Voodoo. Fallows threw 6 innings allowing 1 run as the Shredders won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2040.

The result might have been different for Hollywood, had it not been for Guillermo Coss. The third baseman produced a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 3-0. For the game, Coss had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday, October 13th, 2039 at The Hollywood Bowl in West Hollywood. The scheduled starters for the game are Will Hunting for the New Orleans Voodoo and Jesús Vidro for the the Hollywood Shredders.
