Matson Lifts Battery to Win
|
The Charleston Battery went home winners at Beyond the Wall, thanks in large part to starter Eric Matson. Matson silenced the Buffalo White Walkers, enabling Charleston to grab the 5-1 win. Charleston is now 37-25, while Buffalo is 44-18.
Matson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 4 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 3 hits. Matson goes to 1-0 on the year with 18 strikeouts.
"I was determined to go the distance," said Matson.
