Almost There: New Orleans On Cusp of R2040 Triumph After 5-2 Win
|
The New Orleans Voodoo are one game away from a sweep of the Hollywood Shredders today after a 5-2 road win at The Hollywood Bowl. Voodoo left-hander Will Hunting was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. New Orleans now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2040.
New Orleans relied on the hitting of Danny Trautmann to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Voodoo on top, 3-0. For the game, Trautmann had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Hunting said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The next game is set to be played Monday, October 10th, 2039 at The Voodoo Lounge. The scheduled starters for the game are Joy-shan Men for Hollywood and Ralph Greer for New Orleans.
