Charleston Wins Game in Extras; On Verge of R2041
The Charleston Battery are now one game away from a sweep of the Ft. Worth Cattlemen after a dramatic walk-off win in the 11th inning at Charleston Armory today. Battery right-hander Eric Matson was named player of the game in the 3-2 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs. Charleston holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2040.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Tomás Martí came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Ft. Worth pitcher Anthony Ledesma, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Charleston on top, 3-2.

Matson told a Charleston Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
