Rails Even With Blimps After Home Win
Richland second baseman Vinnie Nuyten produced all the offense the Rails would need today in the club's 10-0 win over the Akron Blimps.

Nuyten went 4-4 with 2 triples, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 and was named player of the game, while Richland moved into a tie in the 3L AA Championship. The Rails and Blimps are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-5 series.

The Rails picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Richland manager Fernando Mendoza. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday, September 24th, 2039 at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The scheduled starters for the game are Masao Myoga for Richland and Dan Burton for Akron.
