Game was big. So was Dusty Fox.
The Buffalo starter rose to the occasion at Silver Sox Park today, earning player of the game honors after leading the White Walkers to a crucial 4-2 victory over the Chicago Silver Sox. Fox threw 7 innings allowing 1 run as the White Walkers won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2040.
Buffalo relied on the hitting of Max Bortenschlager to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Walkers on top, 2-1. For the game, Bortenschlager had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I thought we played a nice game," Fox told the Buffalo Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 2nd, 2039. Slated to start are Joe Pruitt for Chicago and Kent Good for Buffalo.
