Drummers Hammered by Guillén, Drop Game 3 to Rocks
The Plymouth Rocks defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 18-12 in Game 3 of the SL AAA Championship today. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Jesús Guillén, who went 2-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The win moves Plymouth into a 2-1 lead in the series.

Plymouth relied on the hitting of Marvello Obra to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rocks on top, 9-0. For the game, Obra had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Obra after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Drummers Ballpark. Slated to start are Melvin Turner for the Plymouth Rocks and Cisco Pérez for the the Tortolita Drummers.
