Road Win Lifts Idaho Falls to 3-1 Lead in R1
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars faced a tough opponent in Grand Forks Caterpillars pitcher Dan Webster, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 4 of the 3L A Championship, which they now lead 3-1. The Chukars won 4-2 at The Cocoon, despite the Caterpillars getting a strong start from right-hander Webster, who went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run.
The result might have been different for Idaho Falls, had it not been for Ted Murphy. The catcher produced a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Chukars ahead, 3-2. For the game, Murphy had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Murphy.
