Almost There: Houston On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 4-2 Win
Houston designated hitter Joey Trifone was the key at Houston Grounds today, being named player of the game as he powered the 1837 BBC to victory in a critical Game of the Third League Championship. The 1837 BBC took the 4-2 win over the Nashville Outlaws to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the sixth when Trifone, who won the Outstanding Hitter Award in 2034, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the 1837 BBC into the lead, 4-2.

"Obviously, we'd rather be at than - , but it's a long series," Outlaws manager Ryan Naylor said. "We'll just have to pick up a game somewhere."
