Pivotal Game Goes to Host Outlaws, 4-3
An all-important Game of the Silver League Championship went into extra innings at Nashville Stadium, with the Nashville Outlaws eventually emerging on top. Nashville has Jerry Yates to thank, after the catcher went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 in the 4-3 victory. The Outlaws are now one game away from the Round 2, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Wilson Hernández came to bat in the bottom of the 13th. Facing Boston pitcher Jelexiz Verano, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Nashville on top, 4-3.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Hernández said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
