Lighthouse Topple Northern Lions BC with Late Rally
The Long Island Lighthouse grabbed a 13-12 win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at The Lighthouse. Long Island right fielder Alberto Ramírez belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 to earn player of the game honors. The win was Júlio Rodríguez's in relief. His record improves to 4-2. René Fontaine took the loss for Thunder Bay. Long Island is now 24-35.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Long Island trailing 12-11, Ramírez hit a splitter from René Fontaine for a 2-run home run, giving the Lighthouse the walk-off win.

Lighthouse manager Michael Esposito wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
