Dirty Reds Rally Past Patriots to Claim - Series Lead

The San Mateo Dirty Reds needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 2 today. The Dirty Reds got took the 4-3 win against the Boston Patriots in a walk-off at Lang Park. San Mateo left fielder Dylan Carson was named player of the game after he went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Dirty Reds a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Mateo trailing 3-2, Zahid Kashani hit a sinker from Bradley Roth to center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Dirty Reds had a walk-off win.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Carson said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
