Game was big. So was Kent Good.
The Buffalo starter rose to the occasion at Ebbetts Field today, earning player of the game honors after leading the White Walkers to a crucial 3-2 victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers. Good threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball as the White Walkers won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
Tim Burney aided the Buffalo cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the seventh. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.
"It's hard to overstate how much this mattered to us, especially in a short series," Buffalo manager Chris Lau said.
