Gaoteote, Dirty Reds Sink Piranhas Again in Game
|
San Mateo designated hitter Palaie Gaoteote rose to the occasion at The Tank today, earning player of the game honors after driving the Dirty Reds to a crucial Game victory over the Panama City Piranhas. Gaoteote hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 as the Dirty Reds took the 10-5 win to seize a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
San Mateo needed the clutch hitting of Dylan Carson to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 6-1. For the game, Carson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Gaoteote.
