Game was big. So was Octavius Pringle.
The D.C. starter rose to the occasion at 84s Field today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Divided to a crucial 4-2 victory over the Greenville 84s. Pringle threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball as the Divided won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Third League Championship.
D.C. used a timely hit from Tom Washington to get the win. The first baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put the Divided on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Washington said after the game.
