Lighthouse Edge Northern Lions BC, 4-3
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC got a superb performance from third baseman Charles Josse. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Long Island. The Lighthouse won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Josse was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Wally Copeland picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Greg Hoover was tagged with the loss. Long Island goes to 23-35, Thunder Bay to 26-32.
Myles Brundidge swatted a solo home run for Long Island in the bottom of the seventh. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Brundidge told the Long Island News.
