Pivotal Game Goes to Host Shredders, 7-5
A strong performance from pitcher Edison Larson was not enough for the Houston 1837 BBC, who were stopped by the visiting Hollywood Shredders in a 7-5 loss in Game of the Round 1 today. The Shredders never truly figured out the left-handed Larson, who threw 7 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. Still, the Shredders now hold a - in the best-of- series.

Had James Hemwick not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hemwick hit a 2-run double. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Shredders.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hemwick said after the game.
