Pivotal Game Goes to Host Patriots, 2-1
The Boston Patriots needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 2 today. The Patriots got the 2-1 win against the Panama City Piranhas in a walk-off at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston right-hander Nicky Bogdan was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 6 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

Temaki Yuka was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Patriots designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

Yuka attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
