The Minnesota Loons grabbed a 4-3 win over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Loony Bin. Minnesota shortstop John Lester was 3-4 with 2 doubles to earn player of the game honors. Minnesota reliever Ricardo Ramírez was credited with the win, to go to 3-3. António García took the loss for Ft. Polk South. Manny Crespo, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities.

Minnesota took a 4-3 lead on Lester's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off António García in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Minnesota to the win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lester told the Minnesota Citizen.

At 46-56, the Loons are currently 7th in the Premier AA.
