Ft. Polk South and San Bernardino got after it at Field of the Grasshoppers.

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks downed the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 11-2, at Field of the Grasshoppers. Madhavacharta Bhavalakar led the way, going 2-for-5 for Ft. Polk South. Ft. Polk South reliever Scott Richardson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Manny Pinto was saddled with the loss.

Bhavalakar had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Thunder Hawks went on to win.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ft. Polk South manager John Anderson.

Ft. Polk South improves to 68-29 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
