Screaming Eagles Mow Down Continentals, 9-1
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a good effort from starter Adrik Mihalushkin in defeating the Chesapeake Continentals at Mercer Island Grounds. The final score was 9-1. Mihalushkin picked up the win for Mercer Island, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 9-1. Jeremy Gonzáles closed the game out for Mercer Island, earning his 2nd save.

The Continentals had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Screaming Eagles going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old center fielder Mikael Evangjeli came to the plate. Evangjeli hit a bases-clearing triple on a 1-1 cutter from Chesapeake hurler Brooks Senetzer. It was Evangjeli's 2nd triple of the year.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Mihalushkin.

The Screaming Eagles move to 58-30 with the win, while the Continentals drop to 35-53.
