Continentals Get Past Ft. Polk South for 6-5 Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Ignacio Manzanedo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Chesapeake. The Continentals won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Manzanedo was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. With the win, the Continentals improved to 35-52.

Carl Wilson had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for the Continentals. Coming up with the bases loaded and Chesapeake trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Wilson, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
