Chesapeake beat Ft. Polk South at Chesapeake Grounds, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Omar Krutsinger, who earned player of the game honors. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Ken Fulton Jr.. The 8th-place Continentals raised their record to 34-52.

The Continentals got a lift from left fielder Pat Hopkins who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Kyle Overhill. It was his 49th walk of the season and put Chesapeake in front, 1-0.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Continentals manager Allen Evans. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
