Screaming Eagles Defeat Ogres, 6-3

The 2039 season is getting ugly for Olympia.
A 3-RBI performance from catcher Tomislav Jovovich, who is tied for 7th in the PAA with a .530 slugging percentage, led the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles to a 6-3 win over the Olympia Ogres. Daryl Keirl earned the win for Mercer Island. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 10-4. Carlos Cardoso nailed down his 4th save.
Mercer Island relied on the hitting of Mikael Evangjeli to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 4-3. For the game, Evangjeli had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Jovovich told the Mercer Island Today.
Mercer Island is second in the Premier AA with a record of 56-29.
