The Loons had to overcome a fine performance from Atlantic City pitcher Boyd Brennan to grab a 7-3 win at Sonics Ballpark. Brennan allowed no earned runs over 5 innings. Minnesota is now 41-41, Atlantic City 39-43.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Alejandro Cantú to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Loons on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Cantú told the Minnesota Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
