Love Boats Suffer 4-3 Setback
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles eked out a 4-3 win versus the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Mercer Island Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Adrik Mihalushkin, who captured player of the game honors. Ryan Fry got the save, the 12th for him this season. The second-place Screaming Eagles improved to 49-24.

Mercer Island took a 4-3 lead on Charles Basle's 78th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Basle hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Lake Minnetonka pitcher Rainer Ausmus shaking his head.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Lake Minnetonka skipper Culley Adjeng, "and it cost us."
