Ft. Polk South used a superb performance from starting pitcher Ken Bates to down the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 4-0. Ft. Polk South leads the Premier AA by 7½ games.

Teng Xuefeng, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Roberto Maldonado for a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season put Ft. Polk South in front, 1-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Bates told the Ft. Polk South Citizen.
