Walk-Off Victory for U-21 Takes Record to 31-43
|
Athletic Club KC U-21 starter Gabel Ambrosius was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Montgomery Biscuits, 2-1. Athletic Club KC now sits in 11th place in the Menard's R at 31-43.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Tim Hendricks came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Montgomery pitcher Carroll Woodard, he hit a 1-1 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Athletic Club KC on top, 2-1.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Ambrosius.
