Sheridan Decked by Winston, Baby Lakers
|
Jonathan Winston helped his team muscle past the Sheridan Deer, 9-2. In the game, the Bompton third baseman went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Zhao-hui Teng got the win, improving to 5-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Sheridan now has a 5-game losing streak.
Winston contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Bompton in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Winston took a fastball from Jung-won Park and stroked the home run to right-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Baby Lakers to leap in front, 5-2.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Winston told the Bompton Observer.
