U-21 Roll to 8-2 Win Over Biscuits
|
The Athletic Club KC U-21 picked up a win at Ballpark of Elkhorn City, knocking off the Montgomery Biscuits, 8-2. Starting pitcher Yun-tae Yi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jeremy Fulton earned the save for Athletic Club KC, his 1st of the year. Athletic Club KC now sits in last place in the Menard's R at 19-34.
Athletic Club KC designated hitter Mhelter Gaston contributed to the cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Gaston was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Athletic Club KC manager Markus Richardson.
