Harbor Whales Jolt Deer with Late Rally

Greenport rode a decent outing from starter Vincent Higgins to victory over the Sheridan Deer at Ballpark of Robbins. The final score was 6-4. Kevin Parker nailed down his 1st save. Greenport is now 40-12, 7½ games up in the Menard's R.
Had John Ratzlaff not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ratzlaff hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Harbor Whales.
