Tigers Edge Submarinos, 3-2
|
Twinsburg Tigers starter Rob Butler turned in a top-notch performance against the Amarillo Submarinos at Terriers Ballpark. The result was a win for the Tigers, 3-2. Oliver Burgos got credit for the save for Twinsburg. It was his 3rd of the year. With the win, Twinsburg has a record of 18-23. Amarillo falls to 21-20.
Twinsburg used the clutch hitting of Numberto Pencíl to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tigers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We found a way to get it done," Pencíl said.
