Biscuits Saddle Deer with 4-1 Loss
|
Sheridan Forest was the site for M3L Rookie action featuring the Sheridan Deer and Montgomery Biscuits.
The Montgomery Biscuits bested the Sheridan Deer by a score of 4-1, with designated hitter Jason Middleton getting the main credit. On the day, Middleton went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Biscuits. Stephen McQueen got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits in 6.1 innings. The save went to Carroll Woodard, his 4th this season.
D'Artagnan Rasberry, who is tied for 3rd in the 3R in home runs with 4, helped out the Montgomery cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Middleton.
Montgomery is now 11-15, Sheridan 10-16.
