Harbor Whales Deal Uruguayans Painful Loss
|
Greenport starter Poom Saksansin had a strong outing against the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Robbins. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Ken Grant got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Harbor Whales, now 17-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Ronald Lithgoe had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the tenth. The Greenport shortstop came through with a run-scoring single to put Greenport in front, 4-3.
In postgame comments, Lithgoe said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
