Baby Blues Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Last man standing. Which team would it be?
The Quebec City Baby Blues beat the Amarillo Warheads, 7-4, at Ballpark of Henderson. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Lynn Medlen, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Quebec City reliever Josh Caldwell picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Leo Cassidy was collared with the loss.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 19th, until Medlen delivered big-time for Quebec City, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Leo Cassidy. The game-changing hit put the Baby Blues on top, 7-4.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Medlen.
Quebec City is now riding a 3-game win streak.
