Benefiting from Francisco Rocha's productive game, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople downed the Long Island Ducks, 4-2. Rocha went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Snowpeople. Eric Blevins got the win, improving to 5-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Snowpeople bumped their record to 32-30 with this latest triumph.

Ellesmere Island took a 4-2 lead on Rocha's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Juan Carmona in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Ellesmere Island to the win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rocha told the Ellesmere Island News.
