Baby Blues Best Ducks in Pitching Duel

Quebec City Baby Blues starter Matt Cornett turned in an exceptional performance against the Long Island Ducks at Dylan Park, resulting in a Quebec City win, 1-0. Cornett, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. With the win, the Baby Blues have a record of 23-25.
With runs few and far between, the Baby Blues had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Quebec City came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when third baseman Lynn Medlen delivered a run-scoring double. The double was hit off Juan Carmona and made the score 1-0, Baby Blues. Medlen was 1 for 4 with a double.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Medlen told the Quebec City News.
