Cherry Helps Hounds Run Win Streak to 3
|
Michael Cherry made an impact in the 5-3 Hicksville win over Ellesmere Island. Cherry, who leads the SR in runs scored with 32, was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Hicksville leads the Silver R by 2˝ games.
Cherry had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Hirokazu Morita, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Hounds a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Cherry.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Cherry.
