Ducks Saddle Fire with 6-4 Loss
|
Fans who gathered at Ducks Park saw a good contest between the Long Island Ducks and Franklin Fire.
The Long Island Ducks beat the Franklin Fire, 6-4, at Ducks Park. Long Island third baseman Benoît Baudry earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. Jerome Henderson got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings.
Blair Jordan, who is tied for 7th in the SR in bases on balls with 19, aided the Long Island cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"Feels good to get the job done," Baudry said after the game.
The 6th-place Fire have lost 4 straight games.
