BC Come Back Late to Clip Grey Wolves
|
The Philadelphia 1776 BC got a stellar performance from pitcher Masami Kogawa, who handcuffed the Vancouver offense en route to a 4-2 win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Blair Wright was credited with the save for Philadelphia 1776, his 2nd of the season. The BC, now 2-0, have been on a roll in the early going.
Philadelphia 1776 took a 3-2 lead on Gerold Olthof's 2nd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Olthof hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Vancouver pitcher Sjaak Bonne shaking his head.
"I thought we played a nice game," Kogawa told the Philadelphia 1776 Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
