Beavers Get Past Ladue for 7-6 Win
Ballard beat Ladue at Ballpark of Wellsville, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Francis Thomas, who earned player of the game honors. Howard Gross finished the game for Ballard and earned his 4th save. Ballard is now 14-22, Ladue 18-18.

Millard Morris found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Ladue hurler Jimmy Lemaître, the 20-year-old second baseman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. His 18th RBI of the season put the Beavers on top, 7-6.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Morris told the Ballard Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
