Hicksville and Quebec City met at Dylan Park in front of a lively crowd.

The Hicksville Hounds defeated the Quebec City Baby Blues, 6-3, in USSL Rookie action at Dylan Park, with Hicksville left fielder Trent Armstrong named player of the game. Devin Alvarado earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. An-shi Gou earned the save for Hicksville, his 3rd of the year.

Hicksville used the clutch hitting of Pedro Costa to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Hounds the lead, 3-0. For the game, Costa had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Armstrong. "I think we showed that here."

The 'W' lifts Hicksville's record to 21-14.
