Victory Over Hounds Takes Long Island to 20-13
|
The Long Island Ducks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Jerome Henderson, who kept Hicksville hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Ducks win at Ducks Park. Henderson got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Henderson allowed no earned runs. Kenny Pollock closed the game out for Long Island, earning his 10th save.
In the bottom of the fifth, Long Island shortstop Ramón Semprún had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Semprún stroked a 2-run double to right-center. It made the score 2-0, Long Island. For the game, he was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
