Ducks Edge Past Hounds, 6-5

The Long Island Ducks dealt the Hicksville Hounds a 6-5 loss at Ducks Park. Ramón Semprún was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Long Island reliever Finley Brinley was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was An-shi Gou. The Ducks sit in third place in the Silver R with a record of 18-13.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Long Island left fielder Blair Jordan, facing An-shi Gou, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Ducks the 6-5 win.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Semprún.
