Tight Tilt Goes to Ducks, 3-2
|
Quebec City third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani had a good game, even if his team did not. The Baby Blues dropped a 3-2 decision to Long Island at Ducks Park. Alohalani went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. The Baby Blues, at 11-16, have lost 4 in a row.
Tied up with the Baby Blues in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Ducks got a boost from second baseman Doug Dendy. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Dendy saw a 1-2 fastball from Mike Wilson and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Long Island on top, 3-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Dendy told the Long Island Today.
