Hounds Get Road Win, 7-2
|
Hicksville right fielder Robbie Care had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 7-2. Hicksville reliever Tian-bai Hou picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Danny Byrd took the loss. Hicksville's record now stands at 16-9, placing them first in the Silver R.
Care came through with some timely hitting for Hicksville. With the score 2-0 in the top of the fifth and two down, Care hit a full count curveball for a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season made it 4-0, Hicksville.
"We'll savor this win," Care told the Hicksville Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
