Warheads Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Phoenix
The Amarillo Warheads topped the Phoenix Hotspur Academy, 7-2, in USSL Rookie action at Ballpark of Henderson. The player of the game was Amarillo third baseman Patrício Gerardes. Quentin Calkhoven recorded his 1st save for Amarillo. With the win over Phoenix, the Warheads improved to 13-10.

Gerardes came through with some timely hitting for Amarillo. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the third and one down, Gerardes hit a 3-1 fastball for a 2-run single. His 23rd hit of the season made it 4-2, Amarillo.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gerardes told the Amarillo Herald.
