Blake has 3 hit day as Fire Drub Hotspur Academy
|
Benefiting from Milimili Blake's productive game, the Franklin Fire downed the Phoenix Hotspur Academy, 16-0. Blake went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Fire. Franklin reliever Gan Hui picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Edward Martin shouldered the loss. With the win, Franklin improves its record to 9-9.
Blake had a key at-bat for Franklin early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and gave Franklin an early 2-0 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Franklin manager Mark Davis.
